In 2020, QMK3 was founded, focused on the distribution of chemical products to various markets. In 2021, the Paper and Pulp and Wood and Laminated markets will have MK QUÍMICA products. Today, GRUPO MK companies meet the demands of the industrial market, being present throughout the national territory and also abroad. We continue the process of diversifying and expanding our activities. MK CARGO starts to provide services to other companies and the logistics structure is expanded with Distribution Centers and Operational Bases. New markets are now being served with the sale of performance chemicals. We also develop products for Water and Effluent Treatment (2001), food additives (2014) and DEF, our ArlaEKO (2015). We achieved two more important certifications: Responsible Care® (2012) and SASSMAQ (2014).2000's
In 2003, we began the production of bonded leather with the creation of SOLUS. In 2004, when we completed 25 years, the Três Lagoas (MS) Unit was inaugurated. The first decade of this century was marked by several recognitions regarding quality, sustainability and social issues. We received several awards, such as PGQP Trophy, Primus Inter Pares, Social Responsibility and Top Human Being. In 2009, we began operating in the textile sector.1990s
This decade marks our consolidation in the national market and international expansion, still focusing on the leather industry. In 1998, we began a diversification process, with the production of chemicals for other sectors of activity. The production structure in Portão is expanded and construction of the Juazeiro (BA) Unit begins. In 1999, we obtained ISO 9001 certification for our Quality Management System.1980s
In 1981, MK INDÚSTRIA QUÍMICA was founded, which began supplying products to several Brazilian tanneries. In 1987, construction began on the new industrial plant on Estrada Boa Vista, where our headquarters are today. In 1988, MK QUÍMICA DO BRASIL was founded, which expanded the supply of chemicals to the leather industry. In 1989, the first truck for own delivery was purchased, which was the embryo of MK CARGO.1979
Milton Kogler, a consultant for several tanneries, was challenged to solve the problem of the lack of a surfactant. With his knowledge, experience and a lot of research, he came up with the solution! He created the first product and, on September 1, 1979, the first company of GRUPO MK was born, with the company name MILTON KOGLER LTDA.1970s
The Brazilian chemical products market was dependent on international companies. There were many problems with imports, causing shortages, including for tanneries.
